Spring Gathering 2026 - Plenary Only

In the harsh, racially divided world of a maximum-security prison, a young Jacob Johns (Akimel O’odham / Hopi) found himself facing a concrete wall in a tiny cell. To survive the "animalistic" frequencies of anger and ego surrounding him, he reached back to a childhood practice taught by his mother: inhaling pure white light to fill the body and exhaling the "smoke" of stress and negativity. This morning ritual, which he practiced until he was "nothing but full of peace," became his first stepping stone toward a life of Spirit-Filled Activism.

We are thrilled to announce that Jacob Johns is our keynote speaker for Spring Gathering 2026. Jacob Johns – (Akimel O’odham / Hopi) is an International environmental systems strategist and multidisciplinary artist working to address global environmental issues through policy, culture, and community-based solutions.

Jacob’s leadership is a living bridge between ancestral wisdom and international climate policy. As the head of A Wisdom Keepers Delegation, he moves through global summits like COP30 with a conviction born from "Unity Consciousness"—the realization that we are not separate, but "leaves on the same tree." After surviving a life-threatening shooting at a prayer vigil in New Mexico, Jacob’s recovery became a testament to the material force of communal prayer. He teaches that when we "think from the heart" rather than the ego, we find the "inner steadiness" required to replace the smoke of despair with the clarity of our true calling. Jacob’s presence at our Spring Gathering invites us to transform our own grief into a courageous, embodied resolve.
